Music

Music, lyrics and performance by Missy Hardy

Song written on guitar circa 2008. Years later, I produced the track circa 2016. I was going for that big cinematic sound. I think I nailed it because I’ve been told that it sounds like music from the end of a movie.

{to note: so when I went to school for music, my initial goal was to be the next John Williams. Clearly there’s only one John Williams but since the internet has a very peculiar way of connecting people…John if you ever read this and want to chat about music over a cup of tea or juice, let me know!}

Writing the Musical Adaptation

Course

Taught by Missy Hardy

This course teaches students how to write a new musical that is adapted from source material. Something to note about this course is that it has multiple applications. Students can use lessons from this course to also write a musical from an original idea. Further, this course is applicable for non-musical screenplays, skits, commercials, speeches, books and more because at the heart of the course is the art of story.
